When can I start taking driving lessons?
At Goon AutorijSchool, you can start taking driving lessons from the age of 16.5. From the age of 17, you can take your practical exam. If you pass, you are allowed to drive until you turn 18 only with a supervisor, such as a parent, grandparent, or neighbor. This supervisor must be at least 27 years old, have held a driving license for 5 years, and must not have committed any serious traffic offenses.
Don’t forget to apply for your supervisor pass on time; you need it to apply for your driver’s license at the municipality.
How many driving lessons do I need to obtain my driver’s license?
The number of lessons you need varies from person to person. According to a 2021 CBR study, the average is around 43 hours of instruction. During your first lessons, our instructors will estimate how many lessons you will likely need to obtain your license.
What is the pass rate of Goon AutorijSchool?

Do I need prior knowledge of cars before starting driving lessons?

What is the average duration of a driving lesson?
A standard lesson with us lasts 60 minutes. However, we usually schedule double lessons of 120 minutes so that you can make faster progress.
Can I take driving lessons in an automatic car?
Yes, that is possible. In addition to manual cars, we also offer driving lessons in automatic vehicles.
Can I take driving lessons in another language?
Yes, at Goon AutorijSchool you can take driving lessons in Dutch, English, or Arabic.
Can I take lessons in the evenings or on weekends?
Yes, we also offer lessons in the evenings and on Saturdays, so you can always find a time that fits your schedule.
What cars do you use for lessons?
We use modern and well-maintained lesson cars, such as the 2022 Volkswagen Golf and Volkswagen Polo.
Where will I be picked up?
We pick you up at a central location, such as the Central Station in your city. This ensures that we can use the full lesson time to help you learn to drive, instead of spending time picking up and dropping off other students.
